Jorge Sampaoli has described the pressure of the World Cup as a gun to Lionel Messi's head.
Messi missed the Argentine's 2-0 win over Italy on Friday but is expected to be back for the game against Spain.
However, Sampaoli is worried that the pressure on the Barca star won't see Argentina get the best out of him.
The Argentina boss said: “Messi has a revolver put to his head called the World Cup. If he doesn’t win it, he’s shot and killed. As a result, he can’t enjoy his talent.”
